This homemade Salsa Verde is a tangy and spicier version of its red cousin, and Iโve discovered a delicious way to make this condimento picante in the air fryer, of course! Check it out! ๐๐ถ๏ธ๐ซ
Ingredients:
8 tomatillos
1-3 poblanos
1=๐ฅ
2=๐ฅ๐ฅ
3=๐งฏ
ยผ fresh lime juice
ยฝ white or Vidalia onion
ยผ cooked
ยผ raw
Fresh cilantro
Salt and Pepper
EVOO
Emulsifier, blender or Cuisinart
Air fryer
Instructions:
I always use a parchment liner in my air fryer for more effortless cleanup!
Quarter the tomatillas
Remove the seeds and stems from the poblanos and slice into strips
Cut ยฝ the onion into two more halves or quarters.
Place everything in the air fryer and spritz with EVOO, salt and pepper.
Cook at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
After cooking, emulsify or blend roughly so the sauce is chunky and smooth.
Add the rest of the chopped raw onion, cilantro, and fresh lime juice.
Add more salt and pepper to taste.
Voila! Serve with chips, tacos, or your favorite plant-based Latin foods! ๐ฅณ

Bottom Line
This delicious, tangy, bright salsa verde, will be sure to be a hit at your next BBQ with friends or taco Tuesdays with your familia. Enjoy! ๐
